1 Corinthians 9 v 26 "So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing."
When I was going for my National Youth Service (NYSC) I told God I won’t go without a definite purpose and He gave me a mission. All through my service year, I spent all my time and resources doing it. At the end of one year I was much fulfilled. A fulfilled and impactful life is only possible when we live a purpose driven life. Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” 2 Timothy 4:7,NLT. The bible also talks about how David completed his purpose on earth and then died. “Now when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.” Acts 13:36,NIV. These examples and many others in scripture were men who lived a purpose driven life and had impacted their generation. They ran with purpose in every step.
Nothing is made without a purpose. God did not create you to walk on this earth aimlessly, He created you with a purpose in mind. He said to Jeremiah, "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5,NLT. Jeremiah’s purpose was to be a prophet to the nations and like Jeremiah, you too have a purpose. That one thing that God created you for. It’s your duty to find your life’s purpose and run with it. God will reveal it to you but you have to make out time to seek Him for it. “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower… And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision…” Habakkuk 2:1-2,KJV. Stay with God in Word study and prayer with the sole intention of knowing His purpose for your life and you will find it.
No one leaves the house without having a destination. You cannot be walking and doing things aimlessly, your life must be purpose driven. Every decision you take, every training, any location you move to, any job you accept, the man or woman you choose to marry, whatever it is, they must all be purpose driven.
